Michigan Daylight Saving Time – Get Ready To Fall Back
Why is daylight saving time still a thing in Michigan?
Year after year there is talk about putting an end to daylight saving time in the Great Lakes State, but here we are, preparing to turn back time - again.
When does daylight saving time end in Michigan?
On November, 3rd, 2024. Clocks will be turned back one hour.
Daylight saving time will end for the year at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 3, when we "fall back" and gain an extra hour of sleep.
Sure we gain an hour, but it will be dark outside by 5:00 PM. Ugh.
As annoying as falling back an hour is, I am not ready to leave Michigan over it. However, if you are, according to USA Today, Arizona and Hawaii do not participate in daylight saving time.
Take my advice, if you hear rumblings again this year that daylight saving time is coming to a permanent end in Michigan - don't believe it. At this rate, it is never going to happen.
FYI - Michigan will spring forward on Sunday, March 9th, 2025.
The countdown is on.
