Genesee Valley Center Store Closing, Filing For Bankruptcy
Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township is losing another store.
Rue21 is filing for bankruptcy and closing all its locations.
Reports indicate that all Rue21 stores will close within four to six weeks. We attempted to contact the Genesee Valley Center location for an exact closing date but could not reach anyone by phone.
This is the third store closing at Genesee Valley Center in 2024. Buckle closed its doors on April 7th; most recently, Express Factory Outlet closed on April 24th.
As for Genesee Valley Center, there has been talk of redeveloping the property. We will keep you posted as more information is made available.
In total 19 Rue21 Michigan locations will be permanently closing (list below). We wish the employees the best and hope they find new employment soon.
