Calling all 'Tommy Boy' fans! A festival celebrating the iconic movie is set to take place in August 2025.
Tommy Boy Fest is a three-day celebration packed with live music, a character look-alike contest, an outdoor screening of Tommy Boy on a giant screen, a scavenger hunt, and more.
Director Peter Segal will also be on hand with his 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II GTX convertible that was featured in the movie.
What better place to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tommy Boy than Sandusky, Ohio? Movie fans will recognize it as the hometown of the fictional Callahan Auto Parts.
That's right, Tommy Boy Festival happens in downtown Sandusky on the following dates,
- Thursday, August 7th, 2025
- Friday, August 8th, 2025
- Saturday, August 9th, 2025
If you are driving from the Flint area, you can be in Sandusky, Ohio, in less than three hours, depending on traffic, of course.
From the Lapeer area, you are looking at roughly three hours travel time.
Most Michiganders are no strangers to the drive to Sandusky, after all, Cedar Point is there.
If you're planning to make the trip, it may be a good idea to book your hotel or Airbnb now.
The exact festival itinerary has yet to be announced, but I will keep you updated, and you can also check the official Tommy Boy Fest website.
