Joe Louis Arena Will Be Demolished To Satisfy Detroit Creditors [Video]

The days are numbered for the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The historic downtown Detroit arena will be demolished, and the land will be re-purposed as a settlement with one of the city's biggest creditors.

This shouldn't come as a huge surprise considering there will be a new arena built in Detroit soon for the Red Wings.

There are some that are unhappy with the news because of the history that the Joe has.

The Joe was where I saw my first real concert.  MC Hammer, Jodeci, and Boyz To Men were on stage, and I've been to countless events at the Joe since.
