Legendary Grand Blanc Football Coach Calling It Quits After This Season

Coach Joe Delaney has patrolled the sidelines in Grand Blanc for the last 22 years, but that will change at the end of this season.

Delaney made the official announcement last week to his staff and team, saying that he wanted to prioritize his family now.

Delaney has been coaching in Grand Blanc for the last 34 years, and will retire as the winningest football coach in Grand Blanc history.

He is a Bobcat through and through, as a Grand Blanc alumni.  You can see some of his career statistics here, but a coach like Joe Delaney isn't defined by his stats.

The impression that he's made on the community, and so many kids over the years, is bigger than any win or loss in the books.
