With high school sports starting back up this weekend in Michigan, fans received some good news from the MHSAA.

According to their latest statement, there will be a limited amount of fans allowed to be at the playoff games. This impacts both Volleyball and Football playoffs that were suspended during the MDHHS pause to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Before you start making plans to head to the game, you should know that the tickets are extremely limited.

According to the MHSAA press release, football teams will receive 125 tickets, to be divided among game participants for purchase by immediate family members via the GoFan digital ticketing platform. Volleyball teams will receive 50 tickets, also to be purchased by immediate family via GoFan.

The MHSAA is trying to make sure that players families are able to attend the games, and hopefully that's the way it happens.

The Football Playoffs resume this Saturday January 9th, and the Volleyball tournament will resume Tuesday January 12th. Swimming and Diving tournaments will also resume next week. Another thing that should be noted is that any spectators at the games should be aware that social distancing measures will be enforced. That means different families will need to make sure that they are seated at least six feet apart in the stands, which shouldn't be hard since the stadiums will be mostly empty.

We have a few area teams that are still fighting their way to a championship. Check out the schedule for this Saturday below, along with how you can watch the game if you are not lucky enough to be there in person.
