Maine Man Withdraws $140 From ATM, Broke Machine Pushes Out Thousands of Dollars

A Maine man withdraws $140 from an ATM machine but the broke machine pushes out thousands of dollars.   This week is full of bank error stories but this one ended well.  What would you do if this happened to you?

Police say a malfunctioning ATM machine spit out $37k to a man who requested $140. The cops responded to a call to the TD Bank ATM machine after a woman said a man was taking too long using the machine.

The officers who responded to the call, found the man stuffing the money in shopping bags.

All the money was returned to the bank and no charges were pressed by the bank.  The bank believe a error code caused the malfunction but police are still investigating the Maine man.

Earlier this week and teenager was arrested for withdrawing money from his account due to a bank error.
