Mateen Cleaves Reacts To Not Guilty Verdict

The courtroom camera caught a joyfully relieved reaction from Mateen Cleaves as he was found not guilty by a jury in Flint.

The case against cleaves stems from sexual assault allegations that surfaced in 2015. Over the past four years the case has been a roller coaster ride for Cleaves and his supporters. The ride came to an end Tuesday when the jury found Cleaves not guilty, and the case was put to rest.

Cleaves and his legal team talked to reporters outside of the courtroom after the trial was finished.

Mateen posted  a picture of his mom celebrating his National Championship win along with a simple caption of #NotGuilty.

Mateen's supporters also came out on social media to celebrate the not guilty verdict.
