What started as a nice gesture to help his mother get some food turned into receiving more than $333,000 from a stranger who started a GoFundMe account for the young man.

Strangers asking for food is becoming a common occurrence here in America. Some of us truly don't know what others are going through, and before you judge someone for asking for help maybe try and learn about their situation.

That's exactly what one Memphis man did after he was approached by a teenager asking to help load his groceries in exchange for food for him and his mother. The teen's mother is disabled and approached a man hoping to receive a meal or a couple dollars to help get his mother groceries, but what he was received was so much greater than that.

The man who was approached started a GoFundMe account and has already raised over $333,000 in less than 2 weeks. The page was originally created to get Chauncy a lawn mower, but has grown to something so much bigger than that. The GoFundMe page has over 9,000 shares and the original Facebook post has over 10,000 likes.

I think what pulls my heart strings the most is the description of the GoFundMe page

I've created this go fund me page to help Chauncy have that chance. It starts small. A simple act of kindness, but it can ripple out and create an ocean of prosperity in the world.

The money raised will be used to get Chauncy and his mother clothes, beds, and other necessities. If you would like to donate to help Chauncy and his mother click here.
