A woman from Oakland County, Michigan got the surprise of her life after finding out she won $3 million dollars from the Michigan Lottery after checking her spam folder!

That's a life-changing amount of money! Laura Spears who is 55 says that she bought her ticket while seeing an ad on Facebook. She then later checked her email for notifications and found a winning email in her spam folder! She originally won $1 million, but thanks to that beautiful multiplier it kicked her winnings up to $3 million!

I saw an ad on Facebook that the Mega Millions jackpot was getting pretty high, so I got on my account and bought a ticket,” said Spears. “A few days later, I was looking for a missing email from someone, so I checked the spam folder in my email account.

 

“That’s when I saw an email from the Lottery saying I had won a prize. I couldn’t believe what I was reading, so I logged in to my Lottery account to confirm the message in the email. It’s all still so shocking to me that I really won $3 million!” Source:NBC25.com

To think that she could've just gone about her day and never checked her email. Not only that but actually take the time to dig through her spam folder. When was the last time you even looked at your spam folder? I usually wait until I see the spam folder maxed out, then I just delete everything.
