Newton Conn. Police Provide Timeline And Details For Sandy Hook School Shooting – President Obama Speaks [Video]

Newtown Conn. Police said on Sunday that the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School could have been much worse, noting that the shooter, Adam Lanza, had much more ammunition on him.  They have also released a timeline and diagram that details the tragic events that have left our nation in shock.

Lanza's brother, Ryan, who was originally named as the shooter, was arrested in Hoboken, New Jersey. He said he was on his way home from work when he was being named as the gunman and posted on Facebook that it wasn't him. He told the police that he had not been in touch with his brother since about 2010.

The gunman's father, Peter Lanza, issued a statement over the weekend: 'Our family is grieving along with all those who have been affected by this enormous tragedy. No words can truly express how heartbroken we are. We too are asking why. We have cooperated fully with law enforcement and will continue to do so. Like so many of you, we are saddened, but struggling to make sense of what has transpired.'
