This will be the first 4-20 that recreational marijuana is legal in Michigan, so police are stepping up patrols on the roads.

The officers are going to be focused on looking for impaired drivers, and conducting roadside impaired tests. There are no baseline THC levels established by police, but the field sobriety tests will be fairly straight forward.

According to ABC12 the field test will consist of tilting your head back, closing your eyes and being asked to stay that way for what you perceive as 30 seconds.

If you're reading this, wondering why police are choosing to step up patrols on April 20th, then you're going to be fine. You don't have anything to worry about.

If you 100% understand why, then you should probably take some time today to practice counting to 30 with your eyes closed . . . ya know, just in case.
