Saginaw Introduces Overnight Travel Restrictions
Saginaw Mayor Floyd Kloc instituted overnight restrictions in Saginaw on Thursday.
The new restrictions have been put in place for the next week. The new order will prohibit any non-essential people from traveling on local and county roads during specific hours. Between now and April 16th, travel is restricted from 9 pm until 6 am every day.
Allowed essential travel includes trips to get gas, food, medicine, do banking, and getting medical treatment. Mayor Kloc stated:
"Residents who disregard this order must realize the severity of their actions...They are putting others at risk. There must be consequences to such recklessness in order to protect our vulnerable populations and the public servants who risk their health for our safety."
