Snyder Ditches Promise To Drink Flint Water Within One Week

Well that didn't take long. Are you surprised? I mean this is coming from the same Governor that said there is nothing wrong with the Flint water and he would let his family bathe in the lead poisoned water.

After promising Flint residents that he would drink the tainted water for the next 30 days, Governor Snyder made it less than a week before coming up with a reason to not drinking the lead filled water. Snyder is traveling to talk Michigan trade delegation with multiple countries overseas, and won't be bringing the Flint water with him. Snyder's spokesperson released the following statement to the Detroit Free Press...

"He pledged to drink it at home and at the office for at least 30 days, total. Traveling with jugs of water overseas isn’t feasible, but he’ll resume drinking water from Flint upon his return." - Anna Heaton

So sure, Snyder does plan to drink the lead poisoned water when he comes back from his visit overseas, but I don't think this helps his relationship with Flint at all. Although I understand not wanting to travel with jugs of tainted water, wouldn't you want to stick to your promise to the people of Flint? You've failed Flint over and over again Governor Snyder, the least you can do is drink the water you're forcing the residents to drink.
