A true sign of summer getting closer is local festivals. The annual Swartz Creek Hometown Days celebration kicks off next week and there is a lot to be excited about, including free carnival rides for kids, great entertainment, and so much more.

Year after year Swartz Creek Hometown Days generously offers kids the opportunity to ride for free on Friday mornings. As you can imagine, this gives children an opportunity to enjoy the festival, who may not have been able to otherwise. I have more information on that and everything else you need to know about the festival below.

When is Swartz Creek Hometown Days?

The festival runs from Thursday, June 2nd through Sunday, June 5th.

Where is Swartz Creek Hometown Days located?

The festival is located at 5086 Morrish Road in Swartz Creek.

When can kids enjoy free carnival rides?

Free rides at Swartz Creek Hometown Days are offered from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Friday, June 3rd.

Who will be performing in the Entertainment Tent?

  • Thursday, June 2nd - Nobody's Business at 7:00 PM
  • Friday, June 3rd - The Blue Hawaiians at 5:00 PM

What is the 'Special Day' at Swartz Creek Hometown Days all about?

Anyone in the community with special needs is invited to enjoy free food, prizes, rides, activities, entertainment, and more on Thursday, June 2nd, from 11:30 to 2:00 PM. The carnival will be open to only those with special needs that register in advance. Extra care will of course be taken on rides to accommodate guests. Again, you must pre-register to be a part of this event.

Hats off to the awesome people and volunteers behind Swartz Creek Hometown Days. This truly is one of the best festivals around. I am looking forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 4th. Tony LaBrie and I will be broadcasting live from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and of course sticking around to see Ironsnake in the Entertainment Tent.
