Beecher

It seems like Flint and the Flint area has been the butt of many jokes over recent years and 2015 hasn't been any different. But I am proud to say a group of young men from Beecher high school has changed the image and made us forget our problems even if it's just for a little while.

Beecher is becoming a dynasty after winning their 3rd State Championship in four years.

Today is the first day of class for students and staff in the Beecher School District which is actually two weeks early compared to other districts in the county.  If you haven't heard, Beecher Community Schools has started the first year round school year in our area and I think it's great.

Beecher Community Schools are making the switch to year round classes and will be the first school to do so in Genesee County.

We're uber excited that for 'Man Man' and his stand out career at Beecher High School.  Yesterday it was announced that Monte Morris was awarded 'Mr. Basketball' for the State of Michigan.  The Beecher stand out player deserved to be named the best male basketball player in the state.

Flint Northwestern and Beecher varsity basketball produced our first $100 winner at the 37 second challenge this season.  If you attended the game, you can testify on how packed and crazy it was at the game.  The game drew out so many fans, it was hard to even park or get in the game.  We were able to get and produce our first $100 winner.

Flint Northern took the court against Beecher last night to kick off the high school basketball season, but the score is not the headline due to gun shots being fired in the parking lot during the game.

The Beecher High School Boys Basketball team put a end to their perfect season this afternoon, with honors from the state house of representatives. Back in March, the Beecher High School Boys Basketball team claimed the Class C state championship.

Beecher achieved perfection this year on the basketball court, and capped things off with a state championship. Would you be surprised if I told you that they did something even more impressive one week later?  Well, they did!  Check out Buc-Town did that was so dope.

The Beecher High School boys basketball team achieved perfection in East Lansing today. After beating Traverse City St. Francis 74-60 they claimed the Class C MHSAA State Championship.
