A Genesee County principal says students are secretly using and selling vape products at school, sometimes disguising them as USB drives. The district has responded with stricter discipline measures.

Michigan lawmakers are pushing to ban all flavored tobacco and vape flavored products.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced the fourth vaping related death in Michigan.

He only had a 10 percent chance of survival.

A federal court order requires all vaping products to file an authorization application by May 12.

While normally it takes a while for a new law to go into effect, a spokesperson for the Food and Drug Administration has said that because this change "simply increased the age limit in existing law... it was able to go into effect immediately".

The rest of the country will now join the 19 states that have already raised the legal smoking age to 21

The two-week-old ban on flavored e-cigarettes has been blocked in the state of Michigan.

We've been here before with smoking cigarettes. Some who oppose this ban argue that automobiles are also dangerous and lethal in their operation but are not banned.

Renk: On June 4th Governor Whitmer signed Senate Bills 106 and 155, which prohibited the sale of e-cigarettes and other non-traditional nicotine products to minors.

Michigan is the first state in the country to ban flavored electronic cigarettes this week.
