The ongoing #MuteRKelly campaign just got a big wave of support thanks to the women of color within the Time's Up movement. On April 30, Time's Up's women of color announced they're joining forces with the online campaign.

“The scars of history make certain that we are not interested in persecuting anyone without just cause,” reads a statement published on The Root. “With that said, we demand appropriate investigations and inquiries into the allegations of R. Kelly’s abuse made by women of color and their families for over two decades now.

The women are now going after five major parties: RCA Records, Spotify, Apple Music, Ticketmaster and Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The latter two are responsible for the singer's upcoming show in Greensboro, N.C. on May 11.

The Time's Up movement is also asking people to join them in "telling Sony and Live Nation to #MuteRKelly for habitually preying on teenage girls for the past 25 years. Sign to tell Live Nation to cancel his upcoming shows and Sony to drop his recording contract.” The petition currently has more than 65,000 supporters, nearing its goal of 70,000 signatures.

Kelly has been feeling the heat as of late following repeated claims of sexual assault and rape. The singer was also recently called out by Vince Staples, who labeled the Chicago artist a "piece of fucking shit."

During an interview at Coachella, Staples spoke about his post-probation plans and used R. Kelly's alleged past as an example. "R. Kelly, a piece of fucking shit," the rapper said. "So piece of fucking shit R. Kelly didn't go to jail for being a child molester and peeing on people and having a human trafficking ring in Atlanta then I'll be alright."

While Kelly's upcoming May 11 show is still on, the singer was removed from the upcoming Love Jam concert on May 5 in Chicago and hinted at possible legal action. “I’ve never heard of a show being canceled because of rumors, but I guess there’s a first time for everything,” he said on Instagram.
