Tragedy Strikes Swartz Creek High School

The students and staff at Swartz Creek High School are in shock today as they are finding out about the loss of one of their own.

The Swartz Creek Community Schools Facebook page posted the following message from the Superintendent earlier today.

The school is not releasing the name of the young man who was lost, but the rumors that he was an outstanding Senior athlete are spreading throughout the community.

Out of respect for the family and community we will wait to report any names until permission is given by the community.

We do send our prayers to the family, and the entire student body at Swartz Creek High School.  No student should ever have to try and deal with the loss of a classmate.  We hope that you will take a moment out of your day and send positive thoughts towards Creek today.
