USPS Shipping And Stamp Prices To Increase After January 22nd
If you're planning on shipping items you might want to do it soon and save some cents.
The United States Postal service will be increasing prices on shipping several items starting on Sunday, January 22nd. This is coming from the announcement made in October that rates were going to increase.
Stamp prices will also increase starting on the 22nd from 47 cents to 49 cents.
The cost of a stamp will increase from 47 cents to 49 cents, which is also the same price to ship a 1-ounce letter.
Shipment prices will increase for the following boxes...
Flat-Rate Box - Currently $6.80 but will increase to $7.50
Medium Flat-Rate Box - Currently $13.45 but will increase to $13.60
Large Flat-Rate Box - Currently $18.75 but will increase to $18.85
APO - FPO Flat-Rate Boxes - Currently $16.75 but will increase to $17.35
The change in prices was announced in October after USPS stated there was a 3.9 percent increase.
