Berston Field House in Flint will be hosting a no charge, walk-in Covid vaccine clinic on Wednesday, May 26th.

The vaccine clinic is happening at Berston, but the clinic is actually put on by Genesee Community Health Center. Flint and Genesee County have been lagging behind the rest of the state when it comes to vaccination rates. A study recently revealed that Genesee, and Saginaw Counties both have a high amount of vaccination hesitation compared to the rest of Michigan. These clinics are here to help ease that hesitation, and make it easy for everyone else that wants to get the vaccine.

The clinic is a walk-in style clinic with no appointment or referral needed. The clinic is happening on Wednesday, May 26th from 4p-6p. You'll have a choice between getting the one shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or the Moderna vaccine. This vaccine clinic will be for people 18 and up only since neither of these two vaccines have been approved for anyone under 18 yet.

If you are not able to make it to the Berston vaccination clinic on Wednesday, the GCHC is doing another clinic on Friday, May 28th.

This clinic will be held at the GCHC Flint location at 725 Mason St. The times for Friday's clinic are 8:30a to 11:30a, and 1p-3:30p.

This is also a free, walk-in vaccination clinic, and the GCHC is also helping anyone that needs a ride to get vaccinated. If you would like to get the vaccine, but do not have transportation, you can call 810-496-5777. Rides are being provided by Rides To Wellness of Genesee County.

With Covid restrictions loosening around Michigan, it is more important than ever to make sure you are protected. The masks that have kept so many unvaccinated people safe so far, are about to become a thing of the past. Getting the vaccine is key to keeping yourself, and those around you safe.
