Catholic School Coach Facing 120 Years in Prison for Having Sex With Student

It seems like every couple days teachers are getting arrested for sexual relationships with students. A former gym teacher and basketball coach at a Catholic school is facing 120 years in prison for sexing a student down. 

Megan Mahoney, 24 years old, is facing 30 counts of rape with a minimum of 4 years in prison from her inappropriate relationship with the student. The relationship started when she started coaching the boys basketball team. She was involved with a player from October 2013 until January 2014.

The sexual relationship lasted four month with at least two sexual encounters every week. The ex girlfriend of the student told police something was going on and an investigation was put in place. Mahoney was arrested on Monday and was released without bond.
