Charles Woodson and Calvin Johnson Enter The Pro Football Hall of Fame
Michigan was well represented at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction over the weekend.
Both Charles Woodson and Calvin Johnson were honored this weekend as they joined the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame. They were part of a star studded class that included Peyton Manning, Drew Pearson, Alan Faneca, Bill Nunn, John Lynch and Tom Flores. As a football fan in Michigan, it's hard not to show some favoritism to the two guys with Michigan ties.

Charles Woodson was a first ballot hall of famer in everyone's books, but he looked shocked when he got the message. In the video above, Woodson was in the middle of an interview when he learned that he would be getting the gold jacket. His reaction is priceless as he realizes what was happening.
Woodson obviously had an incredible college career at Michigan, and he continued his greatness into the NFL. Woodson won a Super Bowl with the Packers, and still holds the team record for pick-sixes with 9. He also has a Defensive Player of the Year trophy from 2009 on his trophy shelf.
Woodson will go down as one of the all time great defensive backs in NFL history.
I think many were surprised with the announcement that Calvin Johnson would be entering the Hall of Fame. Nobody would question the talent that Megatron displayed while he was in Detroit, because he was the best receiver in the league for many years. His career ended quickly after a sudden retirement in 2015. Injuries forced Johnson to quit the game much sooner than most Lions fans had hoped.
Johnson might not have reached his full potential due to the injuries, but he put up some crazy impressive numbers while on the field. He is also only one of three men inducted into the HOF under the age of 35. Johnson joins Gale Sayers and Jim Brown as the only players to enter the Hall of Fame before they turned 35.
