Factory Two In Flint Hosting A Huge Back To School Giveaway Saturday

Students in Flint and the surrounding area can take advantage of a huge back to school giveaway happening this Saturday.

The event is billed simply as 'The Giveaway', and there are plenty of Flint advocates that have teamed up to make this a huge event. Mari Copeny aka Little Miss Flint and Beats X Beers have been working hard for weeks to bring this huge event together. The event will be filled with school supplies, haircuts, free food, and so much more.

Mari Copeny started the initiative with a Go Fund Me for her back to school event, and has raised more than $14 Thousand in under a month. Mari talked about her vision for The Giveaway on the page.

My goal is to get supplies for 500 students in the Flint/Genesee County area. This includes also making sure they have a washable face mask, and enough supplies to keep them busy if they are doing school online. I will also try to stock them up on hand sanitizer.

The event happens Saturday, September 5th and is free for anyone that would like to attend. The Giveaway will run from 1p-4p at Factory Two located at 129 N Grand Traverse in Flint.

This is what makes our city so special! While some cities buckle under the pressure of hardship, Flint only produces more diamonds. Salute to Mari and all of the people that have put in work to make The Giveaway as big as it is.
