Fireworks Recalled That Were Sold In Michigan

A major fireworks recall has been announces shortly before the Fourth of July holiday, including 25,000 that were sold in Michigan.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recalled fireworks come from a company named Grandma's Fireworks. The commission listed the following reason for the massive recall.

The recalled fireworks are overloaded with pyrotechnics intended to produce an audible effect, violating the federal regulatory standard for this product. Overloaded fireworks can result in a greater than expected explosion, posing explosion and burn hazards to consumers.

The Detroit Free Press reported that the fireworks were sold primarily at two Michigan locations. Patriot Pyrotechnics/Bill’s Fireworks and GS Fireworks both sold the products during the time specified by the recall.

Luckily no injuries have been reported in Michigan due to the fireworks. If you bought some of these products, you can return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
