If you have a passion to help turn Flint around, you can apply to run for one of three positions available on the Flint School Board.  The climate at the school board is not so pleasant but a great opportunity to help turn things around.

The deadline to make it on the ballot is July 22nd at 4pm.  If you're interested in helping out, you need to pick up a petition or pay $100 to place your name on the ballot.  According to MLive, you must meet the following criteria.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen who is at least 18, a registered voter in Michigan for at least 30 days and a resident of the Flint School District for 30 days before the election, according to a statement from the district.

There are three board members not seeking re-election or can not run again.  David Davenport, Blake Strozier, and Betty Ramsdell's seats are open so don't hesitate to help out.
