Flint’s Jon Connor Rips BET Cypher + Signs With Dr. Dre On Aftermath [Video]

The world was formally introduced to Flint's own Jon Connor when he closed out the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards "Jon Connor And Friends" cypher.  Connor used the platform to make an announcement about signing with Dr. Dre and Aftermath as well.

"You all knew that I was ill, but now by doctor is Dre", is the simple line that ended Connor's portion of the cypher and started the next phase of his career.

It's so cool to see an artist that Club 93.7 has supported from the beginning, with 810 Local Flow, make his way to the top of the ranks.

His cypher on BET is just the start of what is no doubt going to turn into a successful career with Aftermath.  Shortly after the announcement, Connor sat down with MTV to discuss how the move happened.
