Some crazy weather last night throughout the mitten, and we could be in for even more severe weather today.

Tornado warnings were being issued frequently as the storm moved through the state; luckily, there were no confirmed touchdowns. A funnel cloud isn't a tornado until it makes contact with the ground below, even though some of these pictures look like terrifying twisters.

According to NBC 25/FOX 66 Meteorologist Ahmad Baijey, "Solid supercell thunderstorm. Rotation creating wall clouds and definitely created funnel clouds. Luckily, no touchdowns. Only funnels, no tornadoes. Damage was caused by intense supercell thunderstorm winds. Pictures and video consistent with that type of damage. NWS will not be sending out survey teams today. Evidence from the pics, video, and also doppler at the time consistent with wind damage."
