Let's Go Brandon Fall Festival Planned for This Saturday in MI

The Let's Go Brandon Fall Festival will be taking place this week in Brandon Township.

The Michigan Conservative Coalition is hosting a rather unique fall festival this Saturday, November 20th call the "Let's Go Brandon Fall Festival." The event will take place in Brandon Township in Oakland County at Crossman Park from 1 pm until 4 pm.

Those planning on attending the event can expect food, live music, the Unity Bridge, merchandise, petitions, and special guests. Hosts of the event say it will take place rain or shine so dress accordingly and don't forget to bring a chair. Crossman Park is located at 437 Mill Street in Ortonville.

For those of you that don't know the origin or meaning of "Let's Go Brandon," here is the story. On October 2, 2021, NBC reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing NASCAR driver Brandon Brown after his victory at Talladega Superspeedway. At the time, chants of "F*ck Joe Biden" were surfacing in places like sporting events and even malls all over the country. The same happened during this interview. Those chants could be heard during the interview and at the end, Stavast tried to spin what it was and said that the crowd was chanting "Let's Go Brandon." From that point on, "F*ck Joe Biden" and "Let's Go Brandon" became one of the same.

Honestly, I feel for that reporter. Anyone in broadcasting has been in the same situation. When you are live on the air and you hear something that could get you fined, you have to figure a way out of that. I'm impressed with her quick thinking trying to relabel the chant, but unfortunately for her, she accidentally gave the world one of the biggest catchphrases of the year.
