The announcement came late this afternoon.

Mark Latunski, the man accused of brutally murdering hairstylist and University of Michigan-Flint student Kevin Bacon, has been found not competent to stand trial.

The findings come after an evaluation by the officials at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry. The announcement was made today by Shiawassee County Public Defender Douglas Corwin.

Just last week, Latunski was found unresponsive in his cell at the Shiawassee County Jail not once, but twice, and was transported to a local hospital. He was released both times and returned to his cell.

A hearing about this competency evaluation will be on Thursday morning at 8:30 AM in front of a judge.
