The Genesee County land bank says that there is a man pretending to work for the city and is going around Flint charging people to cut their grass.

My question is, Why? You don't need to pretend to work for the city to cut grass. That's probably the dumbest hustle I've heard in a while.

The Genesee County Land Bank says a person is going around claiming they are a representative from the Flint Land Bank.

According to the GCLBA, this person is cutting lawns and telling residents they have to pay $20, if they don't pay then they will be turned over to the county and a $20 fee will be added to their property taxes.

According to the land bank, the suspect has been spotted in the neighborhood south of Davison Road, north of Robert T. Longway Blvd, East of Franklin Ave. and west of Dort Highway. Source:NBC25.com

Now I'm not knocking anyone's hustle but this is a bit much. Tricking people into paying you by falsely impersonating a Land Bank representative is super dumb. If you see this person you're advised to contact local authorities to make sure this guy doesn't scam you out of your hard-earned money.

I still don't understand why you would lie about cutting grass? We've all cut grass before, and as a kid, it was one of my favorite hustles. I never had to lie, I just genuinely asked people if they needed help and you'd be surprised how many people are willing to pay just to not deal with the headache of cutting grass. Sounds like this guy needs a class in salesmanship. If you can provide a good service and talk in a way to makes people feel comfortable about spending money, you don't need to lie.

Just hustle better...
