Meek Mill's Arresting Officer Accused of Misconduct

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office this week revealed the D.A.'s "Do Not Call" list of current and former police officers to warn prosecutors to keep them off their witness stands following allegations of misconduct.

Philly.com obtained a copy of the list on Tuesday (March 6) and posted the names.

Among the 29 police officers appearing on the tally is Meek Mill's arresting officer Reginald V. Graham. According to the document, the officer, who is now retired, was being investigated by federal authorities for several alleged acts of alleged corruption.

In 2007, Graham arrested Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, after he was caught carrying a gun while shopping at a local grocery store. Graham’s testimony was central to the arrest but Mill’s attorneys recently filed a motion accusing Graham of lying under oath to secure the rapper's arrest.

Mill's attorney, Joe Tacopina, told TMZ that "The release of the so-called 'Do Not Testify' list supports everything in the motions filed by Mill and others wrongfully arrested by Officer Graham for post-conviction relief."

Mill was 19-years-old at the time of his arrest and was sentenced to 10 years probation. The Philly rhymer is currently serving a two to four year sentence for violating his probation stemming from the nearly decade-old case.

The 30-year-old rapper's incarceration has stirred widespread debate about the fairness of the criminal-justice system when it comes to black men. Fellow rappers JAY-Z and Vic Mensa have been outspoken critics of this issue.
