Megan Thee Stallion and Fans Clean Up Santa Monica Beach
Megan Thee Stallion isn't just here for a Hot Girl Summer—she's here for an environmentally-friendly summer as well.
The Fever rapper has launched an initiative to clean beaches in local cities with the help of her fans, and started in Santa Monica, Calif. on Thursday (June 6). She announced the meet-up with just a day's notice on her Instagram account.
"Hey Hotties I’m having the first ever HOTTIE BEACH CLEAN UP in Cali June 6th at the Santa Monica pier," she wrote on Wednesday (June 5). "Be there at 3pm ! Houston we’re next ! Details coming soon."
On Thursday night, she sent an update on Twitter, revealing that the task had been completed.
"The Cali hotties literally cleaned everything so fast!" Megan wrote in a tweet with a video of her with her fans on the beach. "I had so much fun and drove the boat with everyone Comment what beach needs cleaning."
The 2019 XXL Freshman contender has been on an eco-friendly mission for some time now, and earlier this month, shared some tips with fans to help the environment and had them share more in the comments.
"Hey Hotties these are a few things I’m starting today !" Megan wrote in a June 1 tweet with screenshots of a few tips that included using reusable bags. "If you’re already an eco friendly hottie please comment more ways to help."
