New Nas Documentary Will Be Released in October [Video]

If you ask your favorite rapper's favorite rapper he or she will probably tell you Nas.

Nas' debut album 'Illmatic' was regarded as an instant classic and is probably in the top 10 of greatest albums of all time.

And easily in the top 5 greatest albums of the 1990's, along with albums from DMX Jay-Z and Biggie.

It's hard to believe it has been 20 years since the release of Illmatic, and even harder to believe that with all of the rave reviews it went platinum 7 years after it was released.

Now on October 1st, a documentary will be released celebrating the release of this 20 year old classic, highlighting the struggles Nas had to endure while recording his album, and how growing up in Queens affected him and his family.
