A $1,000 reward has been offered up to catch the people responsible for vandalizing the new outdoor basketball court at Berston Field House in Flint.

The nearly $50,000 court was put in last fall after a grant came in from the NBA Players Association. It is one of the many upgrades that have taken place at Berston in the last year. Now the court is ripped up after someone apparently drove on it.

According to Genesee County Commissioner, Bryant Nolden was informed about the damage done this weekend. According to MidMichiganNow, the vandals were driving a dark colored SUV. Nolden and Mayor Sheldon Neeley are teaming up to offer a $1,000 reward to catch the people responsible.

Crimestoppers has put out an alert to help catch the people responsible.
