If you have not been vaccinated yet, there is a free, walk-in vaccination event today in Shiawassee County.

The Shiawassee County Health Department is hosting the Covid-19 vaccination clinic today from 12p-3p. The clinic will be held at the Venice Township Fire Hall in Lennon. You will be able to get vaccinated with the first shot of the Moderna vaccine or the one time dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

There is no cost to get vaccinated, and no appointment is necessary.

I've been looking around for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in our area, and this will be the perfect opportunity to get one shot and be done.

There has been a decline in the number of people looking to get vaccinated, and that has some health professionals worried. There is also a risk of Michigan getting a reduced supply of vaccinations as demand goes down in the state. This would hurt everyone in the state because it would eventually limit the number of vaccination clinics like the one happening today.

The massive vaccination clinic at Ford Field in Detroit is now doing walk in vaccinations with the J&J vaccine starting today until they close on May 17th. The hours are from 8:30am to 7pm every day of the week.
