Wahlburgers in Flint Township has announced that they are reopening for carryout and delivery starting today.

The restaurant had to close when the Genesee Valley Center closed due to the stay home order from Governor Whitmer. Wahlburgers made a big splash in Genesee County when they opened last year. Crowds gathered to see Mark Wahlberg come in for the official grand opening.

It has been tough for all businesses in Genesee County dealing with the pandemic, but it's especially hard for a new business. Fortunately, the popular burger spot is now able to reopen.

Wahlburgers made the official announcement on FB, that they would be opening Wednesday, May 13th.

That’s right, starting today at 11am, we’ll be open Tuesday-Sunday from 11am-7pm and ready to serve you! We’ve got you covered with Online Ordering, Take-out, Curbside Pickup and Door Dash options

With every new business that opens back up you can feel the optimism grow in the area. We all know how important it is to make sure that our return to normal life is slow and careful, but it's hard not to get excited.

The stay home orders have drawn deep divisions in Michigan especially, and I think that everyone is ready for some healing. I know that one restaurant opening isn't going to fix all of the problems, but it's still nice to take a break from the stress and anxiety the pandemic has caused.

So if you're heading out for lunch today, go ahead and swing by Wahlburgers as a way to show them you're happy they are back open for business.
