Williams Gun Sight Company to Hold Free Youth Fun Day

A free youth fun day is heading to Williams Gun Sight Company next weekend.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 7th for a free youth fun day at Williams Gun Sight Company. This free event is being hosted by the National Wild Turkey Federation and is called "JAKES Day." JAKES stands for Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics & Sportsmanship.

What does "JAKES Day" include?

This free youth fun day includes the following:

• BB Gun Shooting
• Shotgun Shooting
• A trout pond filled with Rainbow Trout
• Fly Tying
• Bird House Building
• Archery Shooting
• A presentation from Formar Nature Preserve
• Free lunch for those that are 17-years-old and younger

Visitors can also attend a free "How to Hunt Fall Turkeys" class by expert turkey hunter Dan Prince.

How do I sign up for "JAKES Day?"

Attending JAKES Day is simple. All you have to do is show up to Williams Gun Sight Company on the day of the event and you are in...no reservations are needed. Participants that are under 17-years-old must have a guardian present to attend.

Williams Gun Sight Company is located at 7389 Lapeer Road in Davison. Just take the Irish Road Exit on I-69 and head south to Lapeer Road.

Williams Gun Sight is quickly becoming one of my favorite stores to visit as I have really gotten into firearms over the last couple of years. They have two great ranges, one inside and one outside, that are very safe and comfortable to shoot at.
