General Motors has announced it will invest $1 billion in U.S. factories and has plans to create 450 jobs in Michigan.

More auto companies are going back to investing in America and the latest announcement is a big one. General Motors announced on Monday that it will invest $1 billion in American factories.

This news comes after Ford announced it was scrapping its plans to build a $1.6 billion plant in Mexico and instead invest $700 million in a Michigan factory.

All of these moves to bring back jobs to the United States might have to do with President-Elect Donald Trump and his plans to tax GM for importing cars to the U.S.
