New legislation signed by Governor Snyder will let Michigan stores ship wine right to in-state customers using carries such as FedEx or UPS, but will ban out-of-state retailers from sending beer and wine to Michigan customers.

A new law that was signed on Monday will crack down on the shipment of wine and beer here in Michigan.

Gov. Rick Snyder signed the bill that will ban retailers from sending beer and win to Michigan customers if they are an out-of-state retailer. The new law also requires that shipments be delivered using FedEx or UPS and will have to submit reports about wine and/or beer deliveries.

This means that out-of-state beer and wine retailers will no longer be able to send their products to Michigan customers.
