Michigan Governor Snyder Hospitalized with Blood Clot in Leg
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has been hospitalized with a blood clot in his leg.
According to ABC 12, Snyder was admitted to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital near Ann Arbor late Thursday morning. The 56-year-old Snyder had noticed swelling in his right leg and doctors determined it to be a blood clot. Snyder is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered while jogging on vacation in Florida.
Spokeswoman Sara Wurfel says Snyder is "doing well" and is in "good hands" and although he is canceling appearances in the coming days, he is still planning to unveil his budget to state lawmakers next week.
