New Stimulus Checks Are On The Way!
President Joe Biden has just signed the new $1.9 trillion dollar COVID-19 relief bill which will hook up most Americans with a $1,400 check!
They've named this the "American Rescue Plan" and it's definitely a much-needed rescue plan. Even with Covid related numbers going down, families and small businesses are still struggling. This plan should give us a kickstart we need to get back to a normal life, maybe.
If you're single and make less than $75,000 a year, you'll get the full $1,400.
Married couples filing jointly and making under $150k a year, get the full $2,800.
If you make a little more than $75k, you'll still get some stimulus money, just not as much.
Individuals making more than $80k, and couples making more than $160k, won't get anything.
So, we'll see how far this new stimulus package will take us. I don't want to sound pessimistic but this economy is in need of major surgery and these checks are pain medication before the operation. Yes, spending will go up and the economy will surely see a boost, but what happens in the summertime? Will we be ok? and even scarier what will winter 2021 look like? If we need stimulus checks in March hopefully we don't need them in June...
