'Mr. Big Shot', Chauncey Billups has announced that he will retire this year as a Detroit Piston.

After 17 seasons in the league, Chauncey said that staying healthy was a major factor in his decision to retire.

It’s just time. I’m happy, excited. The game was very, very good to me. I felt like I was equally as good to the game the way I played it and the way I respected it and the way I carried myself through the process.”

Chauncey played for other NBA teams, but he'll always be known as a Palace Guard for his amazing run with the Pistons.

Chauncey was a 5 time All-Star, and won the 2004 NBA Finals MVP award.  He earned his nickname, 'Mr. Big Shot' in Detroit, and will always be a Piston.

Thank you Chauncey for so many amazing moments!
