After being closed since mid-March, Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, The Slot Palace & Bingo Hall and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel are ready to open their doors again.

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe voluntarily closed Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, The Slot Palace & Bingo Hall and Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on March 16, 2020 to support efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In a statement to social media Tuesday, they announced they will ease into the opening process of all three locations. Staring on Friday, May 29th, the casinos will open to a select number of invited guests. On June 1st at 8:00am the facilities will then open to the general public.

According to the statement on Facebook, the facilities will reopen with a comprehensive health and sanitation plan in place. This will include all guests being required to wear masks and smoking will not be permitted. Guests will be provided with a mask if they arrive without one. Infrared cameras will also perform temperature checks at primary guest and team member entrances with non-contact thermometer temperature checks at secondary entrances. In addition, hand sanitizer will be available for guests and team members throughout the properties and the frequency of surface sanitation will be increased.

As far as amenities such as restaurants, at Soaring Eagle the  Aurora Buffet, Siniikaung, Isabellas, and Water Lily will be closed to dining, They will plan on opening at a later date along with services such as coat check, valet, spas and pools.  Poker games and concerts are also on hold.

Gaming itself will see a change with every other slot machine being activated and reduced seating at table games will be in place in keeping with social distancing.

Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort had a summer full of outdoor concerts on the books as well. The bulk of the shows have been postponed with new dates to be announced. Luke Bryan is still scheduled to take the state on September 20th. Their popular Tacos & Tequila event has been moved to December.
