The City of Flint has some good news to share after receiving $2.6 million to demolish over 200 abandoned homes.  The fight against blight is easier with the new resources.

The Genesee County Land Bank said today, September 10th, they have the funds coming to clear off the abandoned homes in the Civic Park area. A total of 225 homes will be knocked down.

The Michigan Housing Development Authority awarded the much needed money from the Hardest Hit funds. This is extremely good news to hear for our beloved city of Flint.
