City of Flint to Hold Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday
The City of Flint will hold a memorial tree lighting ceremony in front of City Hall on Friday.
According to a news release from the city, there will be a tree for firefighters and a tree for police officers to honor those that have fallen in the line of duty. Families and friends of police and firefighters, as well as the general public, are welcome to attend.
Flint Emergency Manager Darnell Earley, Mayor Dayne Walling, Fire Chief David Cox, Jr. and Police James Tolbert will be in attendance. The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m.
