The Ally Challenge Will Mark Restart of PGA Tour Champions

Michigan will be the state, and Grand Blanc's Warwick Hill Golf & Country Club will be the place when the PGA tour resumes.

The PGA has announced that the PGA TOUR Champions will restart the 2020 season at The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren. The tournament will take place July 27 thru August 2 marking the third year for the tournament.

In a released statement, The Ally Challenge said the following;

First and foremost, the health and safety of everyone associated with The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren and the state of Michigan is and will continue to be our number one priority as we navigate the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

It is important to stress as we prepare for the 2020 Ally Challenge, that we will absolutely continue to follow the advice and recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control along with local, state and federal government agencies.

Together with the PGA TOUR, we will continue to assess the challenges posed by COVID-19 to determine the best course of action for The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren, which – at this point -- includes a number of scenarios. We are committed to being responsible, thoughtful and transparent with our decision process and we expect to make further announcements over the coming weeks.

Back on March 17th the PGA TOUR made the announcement that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis all PGA TOUR Champions events through the week of May 10 would be canceled or postponed.

The LPGA will also resume play in Michigan with the Great Lakes Bay Invitational at Midland Country Club from July 15-18. Both tours have not addressed whether fans will be present during tournament play or not.
