The state of Michigan has approved a proposal that may cut some welfare recipients benefits if they fail a drug test.

The Bill has been talked about for years but it was just approved in the beginning of May.

This Bill, which is referred to as House Bill 4118 would affect people who are seeking cash assistants, and who are under suspicion of drug use. This groundbreaking Bil was just approved in Argentine township, and may very well be allowed in other Counties in the State of Michigan as early as this summer.

Most Republicans voted and approved of this Bill, but surprisingly a few Democrats voted for this as well.

In addition to this Bill, House Bill 4388 will also cut off some families whose children are not attending or has a very low attendance.
