I feel so inspired to see news like this come across my screen. Flint's Monte Morris balled out against Oklahoma last night for a classic comeback win. The former Beecher star student-athlete show Iowa State University fans what we saw for years, greatness.

Morris led Iowa State team were holding onto a two game losing streak before battling Oklahoma and things look as though they were going to again. Morris scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half to bring his team to victory.

The second half deficit tied the Cyclones' school record but Morris pushed his teammates. According to MLive, Monte 'Man Man' Morris said in a post game press conference,

"We actually started seeing the ball go in the rim," Morris said in the post-game press conference. "Early on we got down on ourselves, we weren't playing Cyclone basketball and not seeing the ball go in is tough."

ISU's Morris effort has the team moving in the right direction as they get ready to face off against TCU on Saturday, March 7th. We are proud to see one of our own put on a show like Monte did against Oklahoma. Hopefully this will be the start of him showing the world what we all know he can do and that is ball out.
