Frankenmuth running back Brian Stearns is definitely in the running for High School Football, "Play of the Year" after he hurdled a Birch Run defender on his way to a touch down.

Stearns would go on to score four times total in the game, but none would compare to his amazing play in the second quarter.  Sterns got the ball in the flat and found himself directly in the sights of a Birch Run defender.  He waited for his moment, and then jumped over the would be tackler, and ran in for the touch down.

Clay talked to Stearns mom, who said that he is a great hurdler so she wasn't all that surprised by the play.

Well, she was the only one not amazed . . . the entire crowd exploded when they saw Stearns play.
